The course examines the development and use of information systems in healthcare organizations. Topics include: examination of clinical and administrative MIS systems and models; collecting, storing, and retrieving data to support management activities; and the use of MIS in the areas of strategic planning and quality management.
Students will develop an understanding of health information regulations, laws and standards. The course also examines the current and emerging use of technologies. |
